Kennesaw State University is regionally accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges. To maintain this accreditation, the University reports on its compliance status every five and 10 years and additionally submits annual profiles on the institution, enrollment data, and financial status.

The decennial review is known as reaffirmation of accreditation—KSU’s ROA is scheduled for 2018-2019. The ROA consists of a Compliance Certification, a Quality Enhancement Plan, and both an off-site review and on-site review.

From now until December 2019, KSU will conduct a university-wide assessment of its effectiveness in fulfilling its mission and its efforts to enhance or improve the quality of student learning. This requires an assessment of educational programs, educational support, administrative support, and research and public/community service.
