Donna DeGrendel, Ph.D.
Donna DeGrendel is an Assessment Specialist in the Office of Institutional Effectiveness. In this role, she serves as a consultant to program/unit leaders as they implement Kennesaw State University’s continuous improvement initiative, Improve KSU. She provides consultation in all stages of the assessment process, including assessment plan development, measurement and data analysis, and improvement planning. In support of KSU’s strategic goals and initiatives, Donna also performs both quantitative and qualitative analyses of organizational assessment data.
Early in her career, Donna served as a human resources consultant at Advocate Health Care, a large health care system in the Chicago area. At Advocate, she designed and implemented organizational climate surveys, employee selection tools, performance management systems, and professional development programs. Later in her career, Donna worked as a Montessori educator, instructional designer, and homeschool consultant.
Donna received her B.S. in Psychology from Loyola University Chicago and her Ph.D. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from DePaul University. Her dissertation examined the relationship between employee satisfaction and customer service behaviors. Donna is also a Certified Montessori Educator through the American Montessori Society and a Registered Yoga Teacher through Yoga Alliance. She enjoys yoga, hiking, digital scrapbooking, and traveling with her family.
